Sterling on Real’s radar again

report, quoting their own sources, that have reignited their interest in Manchester City s Raheem Sterling.

The England winger has two years remaining on his contract with the Premier League holders, and the negotiations about a new deal have broken down earlier this summer. Sterling moved from Liverpool to Manchester City under similar circumstances in 2015, having rejected a new deal and insisted on the move happening.

The situation with City hasn t quite come to that point but Real have apparently been monitoring the 23-year-old s form and are set to send representatives to England s clash with Spain at Wembley as part of the UEFA Nations League on September 8.

Last season was by far the best one in Sterling s career so far, almost doubling his best goal tally from before by putting the ball in the net 23 times in 46 games. It was closely followed by a very good outing at World Cup, helping England reach the semifinals of the tournament. This term he played twice so far and scored one goal.
